My heart overflows
With proclamations of joy!
You are so good
So faithful
Your loving-kindness is so great.
I long for my continual gratitude
To be a dead giveaway
Of my deepening love for You.
It’s wonderful
That You see me
More wonderful
That You lead me
Most wonderful
That You love me.
Good, better, best?
No-with You
All is superlative:
Always best.
I seem to grow so slowly
So very slowly.
So thank You for reminding me
That never has a Master Musician
Composed a lasting symphony
In an hour.
Romans 8:29 NLT
For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn, with many brothers and sisters.
A child’s love is like a whisper, given in little ways we do not hear.
But if you listen closely
it will be very clear.
They often do not say it loud,
but in how they come to you…
Daddy, will you play with me?
Mommy, tie my shoe?
The many ways they tell you,
changes as they grow.
Dad, I made the team today!
Mom, I’ve Got to go!
Pop, I need some money,
You see there’s… this girl at school.
Mama, I met a boy today
and Wow, he’s so cool!
Dad, I’ve got something to tell you…
I think she is the one!
Mom, he asked me to marry him.
Would you love him as your son?
Dad, I’ve got some news for you…
It’s going to be a boy!
Mom, I’m kind of scared of this,
yet I’m filled with joy!
A child’s love is like a whisper,
given in little ways we do not hear.
But if you listen closely,
it will be very clear.
They often do not say it loud,
but in how they come to you…
Grandpa, will you play with me?
Grandma, tie my shoe?
It is never ending.
A blessing from above.
Listen to the whispers
of a child’s love.

Hey! It’s MY turn to sit on the front pew!
I was so enthralled, I never noticed your sermon went over time 25 minutes.
Personally, I find witnessing much more enjoyable than golf.
I’ve decided to give our church the $500.00 a month I used to send to TV evangelists.
I volunteer to be the permanent teacher for the Junior High Sunday School class.
Forget the denominational minimum salary: let’s pay our pastor so she/he can live like we do.
I love it when we sing hymns I’ve never heard before!
Since we’re all here, let’s start the worship service early!
Pastor, we’d like to send you to this Bible seminar in the Bahamas.

When God opened the box of my life
It was jumbled pieces all around
Looked long and hard at the contents
And smiled at what he found!Painstakingly he took few pieces
Sought to find its place
All the time I sighed and squirmed
Watched the smile still on his face!I tried so hard to urge him
Fit each piece; impatiently in vain
So I could see the finished work
He smiled at me again! Then let me be for periods long
Turned away, left me alone
I pleaded with him to no avail
The silence had to be borne!God was perfecting me I knew
And perhaps I needed to wait
I learnt although he was never early
My God was never late!As I learnt the virtue of patience
To place few pieces he’d return
The puzzle would one day take form
A lesson I struggled to learn!
But so few pieces he placed
My patience he sorely tried
Nowhere as much as I wanted
How with him could I abide?
So trusting in my intelligence
Rather than wait so long
I tried fitting them on my own
Alas they were always wrong!
I’d struggle to place a piece
Assuming I had it all
Worn from trying so hard
At last I’d let it fall!
Each time I tried it on my own
He’d watch me struggle in vain
With nothing but a smile, then
Lovingly return, fit a piece again!
At last with every piece in place
I sit with awe at his feet
Amazed at the beautiful work
My life over, the puzzle complete!

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Though an army encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war rise up against me, yet I will be confident. (Psalm 27: 1, 3)
Faith in God brings us to the Lord Jesus Christ, who lives forever and who gives eternal life to all who trust in Him. Faith in God makes us wise when the whole world is following a lie and empty delusions. Faith in God gives us courage to die and to live for Jesus. And it gives us laughter when others are afraid, light in the darkness to show the way, and freedom from the dread of death. Faith in God changes everything.
When we trust in God, we can face any kind of difficulty. Even death itself. We can do this because God is with us. We do not simply believe that He is with us, or try to imagine that He is with us, we know it because He makes His Presence very evident.
Little prayer: Thank you God for beinging with me every step of the way, every second of the day.
One Sunday a pastor told his congregation that the church needed some extra money and asked the people to prayerfully consider giving a little extra in the offering plate. He said that whoever gave the
most would be able to pick out three hymns.
After the offering plates were passed, the pastor glanced down and noticed that someone had placed a $1,000 bill in offering. He was so excited that he immediately shared his joy with his congregation and said he’d like to personally thank the person who placed the money in the plate.
And there sat our Rosie all the way in the back shyly raised her hand. The pastor asked her to come to the front. Slowly she made her way to the pastor. He told her how wonderful it was that she gave so much and in thanksgiving asked her to pick out three hymns.
Her eyes brightened as she looked over the congregation, pointed to the three most handsome men in the building and said, “I’ll take him and him and him!”
And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little
ones because he is my disciple, I tell you the truth, he will certainly not lose his reward. Mat. 10:42
A young man once asked God how long a million years was to him. God replied, “A million years to me is just like a single second to you.”
The young man asked God what a million dollars was to him. God replied, “A million dollars to me is just like a single penny to you.”
Then the young man got his courage up and asked, “God, could I have one of your pennies?”
God smiled and replies, “Certainly, just a second.”
This morning I was reflecting on all the different paths our lives take us on. Some people seem to do so much for others, sacrificing time and finances to help the less fortunate. I wondered if I was doing enough with my life to help others.
When my life on earth is over I hope to hear my Lord say to me, “well done my good and faithful servant”. I hope the Lord tarry’s a “second” more so that I may begin to really seek out what God would have me do to serve Him.
I took a walk down a woodland trail,
without really expecting anything new.
A rustling in the leaves made me pause,
and wonder what was hidden from view.
I kneeled down and spotted a tiny, white flower,
so perfectly formed to bloom for just an hour.
Thank you, Lord, for showing it to me alone,
such a secret I would never have known.
God sends jewels from heaven,
when I stop long enough to see.
Rare and precious treasures,
to show how much He loves me.
Once, I ran to the edge of some trees,
with a heavy burden in my heart.
The scent of a warm, summer rain,
wafted by on a gentle breeze.
A brilliant, red cardinal came to call,
and sang a cheerful song just for me;
and to think, I could have missed it all.
God send jewels from heaven,
when I stop long enough to see.
Rare and precious treasures,
to show how much He loves me.
I stepped outside late one night,
for just a moment of peace and quiet.
The wind softly whispered to me.
The black, velvet sky held a crescent moon,
and a million silver stars gave their light.
I threw up my hands and praised you, Lord,
for this glimpse of beauty I might have ignored.
God send jewels from heaven,
when I stop long enough to see.
Rare and precious treasures,
to show how much He loves me.
