Phonemic awareness is important for both young children and English as a second language (ESL) lessons. When learning to read, students who understand the basic sounds of our language will have an easier time learning to read.
Making reading fun is important so that everyone can enjoy reading an exciting story and not get discouraged because it is too difficult. Little Reader building blocks toys will be one of your children’s favorite kids learning toys and will help them to learn over 100 basic sight words as well as different colors.
Because kids love the bright colors and any toy they can stack you will be able to make up many games to teach new words as well as colors using these blocks toys. Have your child stack all the blocks of one color – then let them knock them down. Roll the cubes like dice and have a child read the word that comes up on top.
It is essential for kindergarten children to begin writing and using the Little Reader blocks can help here also. You could put several of the blocks with the words you are teaching, such as all the green cubes (nouns) in a larger container. Have each child reach in the container and select a block. Then have them write each word on the block on his paper. You can then discuss the type of word.
Lots of educational kids toys do nothing. They all do not buzz, ring, clang or make any noise but children still love a wood toy just as we did as children. As popular as ever educational kids toys such as 3d wood puzzles, wooden spinning tops games, blocks and other open ended games are still providing exceptional learning experiences to young children.
The fact that many kids learning toys do not make noises or do anything is one reason they are becoming so popular nowadays. Kids will always play longer with toys and puzzles that enable them to use their imaginations and play make-believe. Wooden toys let them do this to a degree that electronic games and interactive toys do not.
When you’re shopping for kids educational toys, let your own imagination go. You can use children’s wooden toys not only as gifts, but as an opportunity to grow closer to the children in your life.
The above elephant puzzle is no longer available as of Spring of 2012. We do have many other animal puzzles that are painted; visit our website to see them all.
This popular elephant family is packed in a wooden tray that your children can safely keep all the pieces in one place.
Development of your child’s emotional well-being can be accomplished through play. By providing children’s learning toys such as wood play sets your child can play and at the same time master his environment.
When children feel safe, successful and confident, they will gain principles of positive emotional health. Playing with educational toys will also help create strong bonds between the parent and child.
When playing with wooden kids toys, such as a zoo playset that has many pieces, don’t hesitate to “change the rules” and use only some of the pieces to simplify the play. Even though this learning toy is meant to provide open-ended play time some children may need simplified play and require less pieces in the beginning.
Provide prompts as needed to ensure your child continues to stay interested in his toy and successful and motivated. Throughout the day it may be a good idea to plan short time frames of play and know when to end a play session and move on to another type of learning toy.
The above item is not longer manufactured as of Spring of 2012. You may, however, enjoy viewing all our new children’s toys shown on All I Can Imagine’s website.
Parents and grandparents alike love buying wooden toys for their kids and grand kids Sure, kids love electronic gadgets, but most of all they love children’s learning toys in which they can use their imaginations.
Less confusing than video games or DVD’s, parents and grandparents have found that buying wooden toys is less stressful and feel more confident that they are purchasing a toy that will not go out of fashion. What joy comes from giving a child new wooden board games, wood puzzles or from watching a child pretend-driving a wood truck or train.
Just about all wooden toys for children are easy and fun for both the child and parent or grandparent to play with and they will reduce the noises around you.

How Children Learn to Solve Problems while Playing with 3d Puzzles
Puzzles help children learn to solve problems. Putting together a puzzle helps children actively practice important skills such as inference, deductive reasoning, and the notion that whole objects are generally made up of parts.
Wood puzzles are best for younger preschool children and 3d puzzles will spark their interest because the pieces are chunky and are an easy toy to pick up and handle.
Wooden puzzles are important as children’s learning toys and will provide your children opportunities to practice with eye/hand coordination and fine motor skills. While playing with 3d wooden puzzles children will experience problem solving and once their puzzle piece is successfully in it’s proper place they will feel a sense of pride in a job well done.
Toddlers will learn that if a puzzle piece does not fit one way, it may fit another way and they will keep trying until they are successful. Puzzle play is a great quite-time toy to help your children wind down for a nap.

Because kids love cardboard blocks, having blocks such as Little Reader Blocks can be a wonderful tool to use not only for English speaking children but also for teaching English as a second language (ESL). Teach nouns, verbs, pronouns, adjectives and prepositions.

We are all supposed to eat plenty of vegetables to stay healthy. But, are we turning into vegetables by watching too much television.
If you think the television is a baby sitter and your kids are not getting enough exercise make plans each day to stop what you are doing and get out one or your kids wooden indoor play sets or one of their other educational children’s toys and spend some quality time with them.
The American of Academy of Pediatrics Society suggests that children watch no more than one to two hours of “quality programming,” whether on TV or video, each day. The Academy also says that children need physical activity and personal interaction, not a diet of glaring electronic images, especially when they are lewd, violent, or inane.
