Both parents and grandparents are still buying ImagiBRICKS for their children and grandchildren. Customers are telling us they are happy that these durable cardboard blocks are still available.

You will only find ImagiBRICKS building blocks toys for sale online as they are not usually sold in your neighborhood toy stores.  Parents with limited space can select from 16 piece sets as well as 24 piece sets and our most popular size, the 40 piece blocks toy sets.

These lightweight cardboard blocks are so big they help kids build up their self confidence as they create tall towers, buildings, forts and every other imaginable structure.  Because there is no wrong way to build a child can create to his hearts content and children of varying ages can “work” together for a common goal.

When children build something “all their own”, it makes them happy and gives them a sense of well-being and builds their self-confidence.  Parents and educators who provide their children with large building blocks toys notice that children gravitate to a pile of blocks and immediately begin interacting with one another.

Movement of the large muscles of the body refers to gross motor control and begins developing from birth.  Your babies first learned motor control begins with the control of his own head and torso.

Your child will then go on to master sitting, crawling, standing and eventually walking, running and jumping as well as the range of activities.  Meanwhile your child will be learning balance and the ability to maintain equilibrium, body awareness (for improved posture and control), major muscle co-ordination and spatial orientation.

You can help your children improve and master spatial orientation – the awareness of his body position in space and in relation to other objects (or people), by providing him with giant cardboard building blocks.  Even when your child is too young to begin building structures with toy blocks they are a useful educational toy for other purposes.

By placing the toy blocks around in a maze-like configuration your child will love mastering walking (or running) around the blocks.  To begin building your child’s major muscles and co-ordination, have him/her help you construct towers; this will also help with your child’s balance.

Your older children may want to build structures with the cardboard blocks so have enough on hand for both activities. Sixteen piece set of ImagiBRICKS is pictured above.  We also carry sets of 24, 40 and bulk quantity cardboard blocks.

Tune Into Your Children

While your radio is softly playing in the background take a moment and listen to how your kids are playing. You will find opportunities to gently guide your children as they are playing with their toddler learning toys.

Children who have open-ended learning toys will have opportunities for creative learning fun and as you listen to them “plan” and “work” together you will notice that their social skills are developing.  When you take a moment to “tune into” their play you will be able to provide guidance in their social development when and where needed.

While children are playing with such toys as cardboard blocks and building towers and other structures you will notice which children take leadership in the planning.  You will begin to notice if there is a child being bossy or how he accepts suggestions as another child offers his own ideas.

Toy cardboard blocks, such as a set of CityBlocks by Smart Monkey Toys, is a fun toddler learning toy and provides your children an opportunity for creative play and work that builds important social skills they will need all through their lives.

Children playing together are not only creating reality in play, they are also adapting to new realities, work, and therefore it is important to allow children many opportunities for unstructured playtime every day.

3018 Little Reader Blocks with girlReading begins with play and Little Reader blocks are cardboard blocks you will find useful and fun.  Teaching kids their first 100 sight words and primary colors is easy with these toy blocks from Smart Monkey Toys.

Kids love playing with educational childrens toys and will play with them longer than other toys.  They love to stack their toy blocks, count them and move them around from place to place in their wagons and trucks. As they do so you as parents and educators will have perfect teaching opportunities to help your children learn sight words in a fun, stress-free atmosphere.

Two game suggestions to use with these cardboard toy blocks is to roll them like dice and have the child name the word or color.  Or, you could pull out of the stack two or three blocks that you know make a short sentence and have the child arrange the blocks into that sentence.  Examples:  “this is a red fish” or “he laughed”.

Little Reader Blocks are available online and ready to ship for Christmas gift giving.

2 kids with 40 pc setConsumers are purchasing earth friendly products more and more and parents and teachers may be interested in knowing that ImagiBRICKS building blocks toys, the blocks our grandparents played with, now have a drool proof coating.

ImagiBRICKS are cardboard blocks that look like bricks and come in three sizes.  These blocks are printed with a soy based ink to provide the colors that are seen on the blocks.  In addition to the ink, an aqueous, water-based coating is applied to the cardboard building blocks.

This coating acts to keep the ink on the cardboard and not transfer off to children’s hands, clothes, carpet etc. This coating also acts as a barrier so that the blocks can be wiped and kept sanitary.

ImagiBRICKS are produced using safe environmentally friendly products and are 100% recyclable including the packaging and the instructions and are made in the USA.

Teaching Math Using Building Blocks Toys

posted by gbowen
November 6, 2009

DevelopMathSkills_smParents and educators alike know that one of the best kids learning toys are blocks. Toy blocks are also excellent for introducing math to young children.

Children love to stack and knock down their blocks and while they are doing so you have a perfect opportunity to suggest they count how many blocks are in their tower. Eventually you can use the blocks to experiment with addition and subtraction by having a child add more blocks to their structure and then take some blocks away and put them in a wagon.

If you have a set of cardboard blocks that have more than one color you could have one child move a certain amount of blue blocks to a new location and practice counting them as he does so.  Another child could get the number of yellow blocks you have suggested and place them in a circle.

Math skills are developed through the process of grouping, adding, and subtracting. Make up more games as you go along and have fun interacting and playing with your kids.

How to Help Build Your Children’s Social Skills

1040_1_smWhen you provide building block toys to preschoolers guided play activities will come easy as the children will build towers, houses, forts, corrals and more just by using their own imaginations.

Social development is one of the benefits preschoolers receive when supplied with a bulk quantity of cardboard building blocks.  Larger sized cardboard blocks, along with medium and smaller sized blocks, are the perfect way to keep your children occupied and are fun for just one child, but playing with other children makes it more interesting.

Because young children love playing with toy blocks it is easy for parents and educators to encourage children to learn to share and cooperate with others.  As children grow, they, along with their little friends will learn to work together to build various structures.

Parents and educators can observe social skills that need to be worked on and correct and lead in a fun environment without hurting children’s self-esteem.

Bulk quantities of blocks are available online from All I Can Imagine and are recommended when two or more children will be playing at one time.
