The Flood – Biblical Explanation!

Noah's Ark Wood Play SetWe know from the Bible that dinosaurs were alive at the time of Noah, because dinosaurs were land animals, and land animals were created on Day 6 of Creation Week  (Genesis 1:24).  We also know that dinosaurs were on Noah’s Ark, since Noah took two of every kind of unclean animal with him—this included dinosaurs Genesis 6:19).

However, the remaining animals left outside the Ark died.  Many of these remains rotted and decayed during the Flood, but many were fossilized by their sudden, catastrophic burial.

The Flood is a fascinating Bible story and using  large wood playsets will make your story telling come alive.  Wooden children’s toys are popular with both boys and girls and well worth the investment.

Wood play sets, such as Noah’s Ark includes many wood animal figures to help you teach your Bible lessons at home, school and Sunday school. When play and story time are finished all the figures store neatly in the Ark.

Wooden Puzzles Make Great Christmas Gifts

20704 Santa 3d puzzleIt’s not to early to begin thinking about Christmas gifts.  The stores have been putting up Christmas items for over a month now and gift giving ideas have been dancing around in your head ever since.

Wooden children’s toys, such as 3d puzzles, not only make a great Christmas gift for a child but a puzzle such as the natural wood puzzle pictured here is great for decorating.

Wooden puzzles make pretty center pieces when arranged along with Christmas greenery.  Place candles along with the Santa puzzle, set it in your train scene, or on a fireplace mantle.  As a stocking stuffer you could leave it unwrapped and place it in the top of the other gifts in your child’s Christmas stocking.

Hands crafted all natural and the Santa is shrink wrapped to showcase the natural beauty of the wood.  The Santa puzzle will stand up by itself  because it is 1-1/2 inches thick.  As an extra “bonus”,  this wood puzzle may be painted.

Put a Wooden Puzzle in a Christmas Stocking

20702 Reindeer Natural Wood 3d PuzzleMany of us remember receiving wooden toys as birthday and Christmas gifts.  Visiting online kids toys stores will provide you a variety of 3d jigsaw puzzles made from wood as well as trucks, trains and wooden board games.

You may have fond memories of the wooden children’s toys you received as a child, and the look and smell of wood has probably stayed with you, just as it has for me. Give a child a wooden rocking horse, or a spinning tops game or an airplane and many hours of creative play time will be part of the best gift you could give for a birthday or Christmas.

A wood puzzle was probably one of your favorite toys and, maybe, still is.  Write a note, or talk to your kids, about how you played with a toy just like this and your favorite parts of playing with that toy.  Spending time with your child or grandchild will create new memories he can pass on to his kids.

20701 Santa in Sleigh 3d wooden puzzleThere was a time when, as children, we were given wooden children’s toys more often than not.   We may not have appreciated the toys at the time, but with the new age of electronic gadgets we can now appreciate how simple and uncomplicated these children’s wooden toys were.

One of the reasons wooden toys are so popular, and remain so, is that anyone can play with them.  Playing with just about any wooden toy is not intimating and can be enjoyed by all age groups. Best of all children love receiving wooden puzzles and toys because they’re different.

These days DVD’s and computer games are ordinary not necessarily the best educational kids toys available.  Children’s wooden toys are something out of the ordinary. Children can’t get enough of toys that don’t beep, buzz or click.

When it’s time to buy a gift think wood.  Explore wood games, trucks, trains and 3d wooden puzzles for your child and the child in you.

40113-palmtree-bead-maze-toyYou have enough cleaning to do when it’s time to clean your house besides adding children’s toys to your list, so try this idea.  A couple of times per week while you are sitting and playing with your children  have the kids help you wipe down the plastic and wooden toys.

Regardless if you are a day care center provider or health care center or a stay at home mom, your wooden children’s toys and waiting room toys need to be cleaned and sanitized on a regular basis.  Getting the kids involved will help make the job easier and fun.

An activity such as this will also provide you some extra quality time with your kids just to sit and talk and laugh.  Conversations and creative play will be spontaneous as you and the children are cleaning and handling each toy and forming new memories can be an added benefit.
